We have
entered into a day and time where the Body of Christ is in much
confusion over a little understood aspect of Jesus ministry.
Fear, control and confusion have clouded spiritual judgment over
how to handle deliverance. It has become apparent that Christian
believers are not walking in total victory. Manifestations of
spiritual torment have surfaced lack of knowledge o f how to
handle these manifestations has brought division and great fear.
For those who are caught in the bondages Satan it has brought
self condemnation and torment. Fear to speak of the unspeakable
has bound believers to walk in darkness alone. Many are a f raid
to ask others to help them because they feel they will be
judged. The Lord does not intend for us to walk in fear but in
the faith of His promise. Freedom is available for the Bride of
Christ. It is indeed the children's bread given to us by our
Savior. We must approach the throne boldly and take up the
weapons given to us by Christ overcoming the enemy. In turn we
will be able to help others by the same measure Of consolation
we received. It is time that we embrace the entire ministry of
Jesus Christ so we can all be free.
For too
long we have looked at deliverance (casting out of demons)
through our natural eyes. Either by being ultra demon minded,
using tactics much like heathen practices to free the tormented
individual. Or by ignoring the enemy exists. Neither is a
proper attitude as Jesus taught. It is time for temperance to
come forth for the body of Christ in this area. Deliverance is a
tool given to all believers by our Savior so that we may inherit
the fullness of the kingdom of God. This is why the enemy has
brought so much confusion to us about this subject. He knows as
we learn to operate in the gifts with the full authority given
by Jesus, his power is diminished. As we come into unity of the
Body utilizing all our power, we will walk in the greater (dunamus)
power. This is the next step as we mature into sons and
daughters. We desire to have freedom more abundantly, but so
many seem to come short of it. When you inwardly know you have
not overcome it brings a double-mindedness within a person. We
are to walk in the spirit of truth, yet we deny the existence of
certain problems and situations. Christians are taught to put on
a phony smile and lie. We are afraid to admit we are not yet
walking in full victory. Fearing the judgment of other and
confused at why it isn't\t working for us. Religious doctrines
have intensified the fear and made it impossible for some to
even listen. The bible has a very stern word that describes this
condition, it is called a hypocrite. When we look at the
definition of a hypocrite, how many of us either are or have
walked as one in the past. I myself was horrified when I came to
the fullness of knowledge of this term. HYPOCRITE, n. 1.
One who feigns to be what he is not; one who has the form of
godliness without the power , or who assumes an appearance of
piety and virtue, when he is destitute of true religion. And the
hypocrite's hope shall perish. Job.8. 2. A dissembler; one who
assumes a false appearance. Fair hypocrite, you seek to cheat in
vain. When I read this definition it really struck a nerve.
Feigns is to pretend. If we put on a happy face when we are
dying inside and speak perfect ness when we are in bondage, we
are a hypocrite. If we go to church on Sunday and Wednesday
never telling of the tormenting thoughts and behaviors we have
yet to overcome, we are a hypocrite. Not only do we outwardly
profess freedom we also are without power. It is impossible to
become godly when we are living in a chosen lie. Transformation
into righteousness can only occur when we humble ourselves
before the mighty hand of God and admit our faults. He is
closest to those who are of a contrite spirit. The kingdom of
heaven belongs to those who are poor in spirit. Our focus on our
ability to gain victory has instead brought more bondage upon
us. We profess freedom but in actuality we are powerless. It is
time for us to speak the truth in love, embracing the power
invested us by Jesus Christ so we may be healed and freed. I
realize many will be offended by some of the word spoken here. I
do not write to judge or condemn anyone. I write out of a
mandate from the Father to speak His heart. Calling forth a
repentance to prepare for the wedding to our precious Jesus. If
this pricks your heart deeply. I ask you to search within
yourself to see why it does. I know in my own walk it forced me
to address parts of my own heart to see where my own motives
were. The Word of God is not meant to condemn but to bring life
to our Spirits by bringing forth conviction for change.
According to the word of God manifestations of the demonic will
intensify. Deceiving the very elect if this were possible. The
anti-Christ and his angels of light will do lying signs,
wonders, and miracles. Even today the spirit of anti-Christ is
moving mightily in the world. This cannot be stopped as every
word of prophesy must be fulfilled. It is important for us to
understand we have been called to walk in the fullness of the
authority given to us. To delete portions of the commandments of
Jesus is disobedience . We must live by every word that
proceeded out of the mouth of God. So we may be brought into a
unity which will bring forth unstoppable power to free the Body
of Christ. We cannot use the wisdom of men to bring forth
freedom from the oppressions in the spirit. To use weapons of a
carnal nature will not overcome the spiritual forces of
darkness. We have done this for too long and freedom eludes many
because of it. The Lord wants us to understand that deliverance
is not to be feared but used to cleanse and sanctify our land
(body-soul-spirit) to glorify the Lord. We can no longer refuse
to accept this portion of Jesus\ministry. We cannot allow the
spirits of fear and confusion to dictate to us how to walk. If
we do not recognize this part of Jesus ministry and operate in
the power already invested many will perish because they lack
knowledge. The kingdom of God will not fully come to the Body of
Christ. The time for freedom is NOW.
In
Matthew 12:22 Jesus was brought a man possessed with a devil.
This man was tormented with a demonic spirit that caused him to
be blind and dumb. When the spirit left he was made whole by
what Jesus called a healing. This outraged the religious Jews.
They spoke against him with accusations of using the power of
Beelzebub. Translated ed in the Greek the name means lord of the
flies. For every miracle Jesus did he made enemies. Many were
jealous of his power. They did not understand it so they tried
to come against him in any way they could. It made them look bad
and brought fear upon t hem. It is no different today. When
something occurs and it is not understood we generally avoid it
or condemn it as false. Jesus warned as we walk as Him the same
persecutions would come upon us. A servant is by no means above
his master. We will be rejected as well walk in the steps of our
master. Mat 12:22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a
devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the
blind and dumb both spoke and saw. Mat 12:23 And all the people
were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? Mat 12:24
But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not
cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. When
many who are in our body hear of deliverance they either cast it
away as unnecessary or they judge those who are actively using
the power given by Jesus to perform this ministry. It seems to
be no different today. In Jesus\time the religious Jews spoke
against Him. Our master was told Satan gave Him the authority to
cast out the devils. The same voice speaks today against
deliverance. We were warned by Jesus this would occur but this
should not deter us from embracing the fullness of Jesus. [Mat
10:24] The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant
above his lord. \par [Mat 10:25] It is enough for the disciple
that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they
have called the master of the house Beelzebub , how much more
shall they call them of his household? [Mat 10:26] Fear them not
therefore : for there is nothing covered, that shall not be
revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. Jesus tells us not
to fear those who speak against His ministry. There was
confusion and strife when our Lord walked in Power. The same
spirit of anti-Christ is in existence today denying the power
thereof. For the body of Christ to be fully freed enjoying the
liberty of the kingdom of God we must ask the Lord to remove all
confusion. Embracing the truth of the gospel. In Mark 16 we are
given a commandment by Jesus when n he returned after the
resurrection. We must receive every word which procedeeth out of
the mouth of God. The Word is very specific about our calling as
believers of Jesus. Our commission was uttered by our commander
and chief long ago. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into
all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark
16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he
that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:17 And these signs
shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out
devils ; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:18 They
shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it
shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they
shall recover. \par \par One sign of a true believer is to cast
out devils. This is so we may walk in victory overcoming every
wicked work of Satan. Jesus at first refused to cast the devils
out of the sirophencian woman's daughter because He called it
the children's bread. When her faith showed him she accepted him
as her Lord he gave forth freedom to her daughter. She had eyes
to see and ears to hear. \par \par Jesus tells us in Matthew 12,
if a kingdom is divided against itself it is brought to
desolation. How many in our body feel they can no longer go on.
They are e being destroyed from the inside out. Our spirits have
been coveted to the Lord Jesus, but our flesh is riddled with
sin. We have not taught the importance of being separate and
holy. Dedicated only to the Lord and not being a friend to the
world. To inherit the kingdom of God we must obey the
scriptures. Cleansing our minds by the Spirit of the Lord to
achieve freedom and using the tools given by the Lord to set the
captives free. Unless we stand in the fullness of the Spirit
using all gifts for Gods glory. We will be divided and therefore
shall not stand. Mat 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and
said unto them , Every kingdom divided against itself is brought
to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself
shall not stand: Now Jesus h ad been accused of casting out
demons by Satan. He in return questioned by what authority the
Pharisees cast out demons. He continues to tell them He uses the
Spirit of God and by this (deliverance) the kingdom of God is
come unto them. Everything we are taught in the word was not
just for then. Every word spoken was for us to profit from
today. The key to our own freedom lies in receiving the
authority given to us by Jesus. It is available but will
continue to be questioned by the religious individuals. Mat
12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against
himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? Mat 12:27 And if I by
Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them
out? therefore they shall be your judges. Mat 12:28 But if I
cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is
come unto you. Mat 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong
man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the
strong man? and then he will spoil his house. \par \par Now in
the word of God t his is where most people stop reading. But the
teaching Jesus had concerning this subject continues. Before
this point not only was Jesus speaking about casting out demons.
But about how the Pharisees did not believe He was operating
with power from God. Jesus now goes on to say He that is not
with me is against me. Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is
against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
The following scripture has been repeatedly quoted out of
context. When read in context the meaning is very clear. It is a
warning to Christians pertaining the rejection of deliverance(
casting out of demons). If we cast the ministry of deliverance
away we are in danger of blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. Mat 12:31
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall
be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost
shall not be forgiven unto men. Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh
a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but
whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be
forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to
come. \par \par The passage above begins with \Wherefore\it is a
statement which means in addition to or an explanation of the
previous idea. Note while explaining these scriptures they were
not pulled from elsewhere in the word. It is read exactly as
written. When you look at the text it is unbroken. So many of
our important lessons have been chopped up by verse and chapter
breaks. This is very strong example of how so many scriptures
have been misinterpreted. We must read every word of God. Not
chopping up the bible to prove a personal point. I know this is
a strong statement but it important we do not perish by lack of
the knowledge. We must study to show ourselves approved, rightly
dividing the word of God. \par \par We cannot stop with here, we
must read on to fully understand more of the ministry of
deliverance. It contains qualifiers and safety checks so we may
use and receive this gift wisely. The next portion of the
scripture again cautions us to look at the fruit of a person
before accepting doctrine. It is either evident by good or bad,
not both. If someone is living and growing in the qualities of
the Lord. It should be evident in their lives. The fruit of the
Spirit should be seen in the followers of the Lord. Otherwise we
are warned we will be deceived by those who speak vanity and
show all manner of lying signs, wonders and miracles. Mat 12:33
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the
tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by
his fruit. Now again, the Lord issues a strong statement of
condemnation. Oh generation of vipers. How can ye, being evil,
speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the
mouth speaketh. How a person communicates, especially through
speech is a biblical technique to check the fruit they bear. Now
Jesus tells us because of their spiritual blindness the
Pharisees are unable to see nor understand the importance of
deliverance. He is warning them they will be condemned by their
own words. For if they offend on one point of the law they are
bound by all points of the law. Mat 12:34 O generation of
vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of
the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Mat 12:35 A good
man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good
things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth
evil things. Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word
that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day
of judgment. Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified,
and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Those who operate in a
religious spirit will be known by their evil tongue. If they
condemn those who walk as Jesus walked their own words will
condemn them. We must remember this as belivers we will have all
manner of evil spoken against us for righteousness sake. The
beautitudes give a very clear outline of what to expect in a
Christ like walk. As we continue to read in Matthew 12 we find
in verse 43 a warning. This needs to be highlighted. Once the
demon is cast forth from a person it cannot find rest until he
(the demon) returns unto the person whom he left. If the
believer (house) is not full of the Spirit of the Lord the
unclean spirit can and will return. If we have fallen back into
worldly ways there are entry ways for its return. The state of a
person who has been delivered then becomes worse than before. .
Notice the unclean spirit locates seven more wicked spirits to
try to gain entrance. This explains why so many seem better for
a season then fall into deeper sin. It is not automatic for us
to maintain freedom. We are cautioned as Christians to fill our
cups daily with the Spirit. It is a choice to walk in the Spirit
thus not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. The more deliverance
a person receives the more assignments for their destruction and
fall. When someone has received much deliverance they stay
rooted and grounded in the word. Daily fellowshipping with the
Lord and growing in His wisdom By doing this they are protected
by the Spirit of God. To whom much has been forgiven, much is
expected. [Mat 12:43] When the unclean spirit is gone out of a
man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth
none. [Mat 12:44] Then he saith , I will return into my house
from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it
empty, swept, and garnished. \par [Mat 12:45] Then goeth he, and
taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than
himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state
of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also
unto this wicked generation. \par \par It is also important to
understand the importance of not performing deliverance on
someone who still desires active sin. Or upon someone who
desires to be an unbeliever. If a person does not want to
profess Jesus as his Lord and Savior, do not perform deliverance
on them. But if they continue to renounce Jesus we are not to
feed the children's bread to them. You will make it more
difficult for them to come to the knowledge of the truth. This
does not disclude you from binding the unclean spirits with the
power of Jesus. Using the spiritual authority given to us in the
word. Sometimes you will fin d a dumb spirit will actually bind
a persons tongue from speaking the will of the individual. When
that spirit is bound by the Lord if they desire Jesus they can
receive the Lords forgiveness and freedom. According to the word
of God we are given authority by and with the name of Jesus. It
is our responsibility to call upon the Spirit of the Lord to
give full wisdom, knowledge and understanding of His word. Satan
does not want unity within the Body of Christ and will stop at
nothing to divide and conquer. A s long as the doctrines of
devils and doctrines of men rule bondage will remain. It is time
to receive every word that proceeth out of the mouth of God. Not
picking and choosing what seems comfortable to our flesh.
Controversy was part of the walk of Jesus. It will also be part
of our walk as we become more like Him. There are so many in
bondage and have no idea of how to enter fully into the kingdom.
It is time we walk in victory. I write this to the Body of
Christ by a mandate from the Father. I know firsthand the
torment suffered by a Christian when they have dedicated their
lives to the Lord and feel they are not walking in the victory
of the kingdom. I myself was bound by tremendous torment until
the Lord released me into the kingdom of God through
deliverance. I could not be free, I was divided. Jesus had been
my Lord and Savior for 32 years. I had been filled with the Holy
Spirit for the same amount of time but still lacked full
freedom. I was confused and did not understand why I was not
walking in victory. Even the church leaders did not know why I
was so tormented. I could not stand and was in the process of
being destroyed. I was caught in the lie of hyprocisy. Speaking
freedom outwardly in my confession but not possessing it. When I
continued to f all into sin I felt it must have been because of
my own lack of faith. I was told by many if I just confessed
freedom and stayed in the word I would be free. When my desired
freedom did not materialize, I sunk deeper into darkness.
Feeling as if because o f my own faithlessness I was doomed. I
bought the lie but the truth has made me free. How many are in
the same snare caught by the enemy, ensnared by the torments in
their mind. I was freed when the word taught me what I endured
was not meant for my own consolation but to console others by t
he same consolation I received. The ultimate sacrifice we are
called upon is to allow the Lord to bring us through trials,
temptations and testings so we may uphold our brethern in their
time of need. It is a part of spiritual maturing and we all are
call ed to enbrace it. There are many others who feel as I did.
Some even as you read this are ending their own lives because
they could not face living in the torment of being a divided
house. They cannot come home to the house of the Lord until we
are armed with the wisdom, knowledge and ability to walk in the
fullness of the anointing. We cannot stand idly by and watch our
brethern die within their own minds because of lack of
knowledge. Let us join hands and embrace the power and authority
given to us by Jesus and bring the kingdom of God unto the Body
of Christ.
