Pollution Of the Soul

Defiled- Polluted or "impure".

1 Cor 3:17 says "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Translation!

What he is saying here is, If anyone pollutes or makes the body impure, God will destroy him. The temple of God is holy, and you are the temple.

Now, the big G sounds real mad here. But he is just trying to get a point across, in the time the bible was wrote he was a very harsh God to his people, this broke his heart seeing this. God sent Jesus to reconcile us to the Father as a result. I don't want you to be discouraged because he says " If you do this you will be destroyed" or " If you do that you will be destroyed"! You can redeem your self from this sin, by committing you life to the Lord. No man or women is ever condemned to hell by Jesus Christ but condemned by themselves and their actions. We get it through our head that we are going to hell and we cant do anything about it! But it is not true!

Next,

Leviticus Ch 15: verse 2 reads.

Next!

Hebrews 12:12-17 reads

An Appeal for endurance!

12: Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees

13:And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

14: Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the lord.

15:Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.

16: Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

17: For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Now what the Big G is saying here is, we need to strengthen our spirits not our body's. Only those in spirit can lift their hands and knee's. In the next verse, we need to make our path to God and not be diverted but stick to the path we created for ourselves, and that which is wrong be turned away and be healed. Without Peace in the Lord we be blind and deaf in spirit, when the Lord tries to speak to us we can no longer hear because we are deaf in spirit so we must find our peace. Be strong even if you friend betrays God but do not let bitterness towards this person grow inside you but great love. Bitterness eats at your soul like a leech on you. It slowly suck the peace and spirit out of you but you don't notice till it is all gone. And do not let your self be corrupted from this bitterness.

The true meaning of bitterness is, sharp to the feeling; piercing; painful.
